Mapo Gu is one of the 25 districts of Seoul, South Korea. It is located just above the Han River and is a popular, youthful area with many attractions, activities, and universities within its borders. The vibing nightlife scene is well known in some of the university towns in this district.
Mapo Gu District has 26 distinct neighborhoods: Ahyeong-dong, Cheongjeon-dong, Daeheung-dong, Dangin-dong, Dohwa-dong, Donggyo-dong, Gongdeok-dong, Gusu-dong, Hajung-dong, Hapjeong-dong, Hyeonseok-dong, Jung-dong, Mangwon 1-dong, Mangwon 2-dong, Mapo-dong, Nogosan-dong, Sangsu-dong, Seogyo-dong, Seongnam-dong, Singongdeok-dong, Sinjeong-dong, Sinsu-dong, Tojeong-dong, Yeomni-dong, Yeonnam-dong, and Yonggang-dong
There are several subway stations that also run through the boundaries of Mapo Gu District: Subway Line 2: Hapjeong, Hongik University, Sinchon, Ewha Womanโs University, and Ahyeon. Subway Line 5: Mapo, Gongdeok, Aeogae. Subway Line 6: World Cup Stadium (Seongsan), Mapo-gu Office, Mangwon, Hapjeong, Sangsu, Gwangheungchang, Daeheung, Gongdeok. Airport Railway Line: Gongdeok, Hongik University. Gyeongui-Jungang Line: Hongik University, Sogang University, Gongdeok.
