Eunpyeong Gu District (은평구) is one of the 25 districts of Seoul. It’s located in the northwestern corner of Seoul. It borders Goyang, Gyeonggi Province to the west, and Seoul’s Jongno, Seodaemun, and Mapo districts to the east, southeast, and southwest.
Eunpyeong Gu District includes a small chunk of Bukhansan National Park in the north and its territory is divided into 16 administrative neighborhoods or ‘dongs’ (동). Seoul Metro lines 3 and 6 run through this district of Seoul.
Eunpyeong Gu Neighborhoods
The following are the 16 administrative neighborhoods from north to south, west to east: Jingwon-dong, Galhyeon (1(il) and 2(i)-dong), Bulgwang (1(il) and 2(i)-dong), Daejo-dong, Gusan-dong, Yeokchon-dong, Nokbeon-dong, Sinsa 1(il)-dong, Sinsa 2(i)-dong, Eungam 1(il)-dong, Eungam 2(i)-dong, Eungam 3(sam)-dong, Susaek-dong, Jeungsan-dong.
The following subway stations are located within Eunpyeong Gu’s boundaries as well: Subway Line 3: Gupabal, Yeonsinnae, Bulgwang, Nokbeon. Subway Line 6: Eungam, Yeokchon, Bulgwang, Dokbawi, Yeonsinnae, Gusan, Saejeol (Sinsa), Jeungsan, Digital Media City. Airport Railway Line: Digital Media City. Gyeongui-Jungang Line: Susaek, Digital Media City.

Bulgwang-dong is the neighborhood that I have lived in for a number of years. Thus I’m very familiar with this area and have many photographs that I’ve taken while exploring the residential streets as I come and go out or when I take brief walks. The area is mostly known for the trails into the Bukhansan National Park mountain range. Its territory includes a side of Bulgwang Station (line 3), a corner of Yeonshinnae station (line 3), and Dokbawi station (line 6).
