We just got back from a two-day trip to Jinhae, Changwon City down in the southeast province of Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. It wasn’t a long trip by no means, but it was a busy couple of days that were action-packed with exploring, lots of walking, and of course, doing photography and video along the way.

After 10 years of living in Seoul, South Korea, I’ve heard many times that Jinhae was especially famous for its cherry blossom festival. But it’s a good 4-5 hour drive from Seoul, and cherry blossoms last for only last for a short period of time. Every year that came around, we usually got caught up with something else we had to do or simply put it off for another year. Our time in South Korea is limited so we made sure to prioritize a trip this time around. I’ll be sharing some of my work, photos, and videos within the next few days. So why am I writing today?

I’ve made a firm decision to make a daily photography journal, the whole idea behind The Photo Memoirs. Although today was mostly a day at home recovering and getting some much-needed rest, I wanted to make this the first day of a DAILY entry into this journal.

From this article forward, you can expect a daily article discussing what I’ve been up to in my own photography, things that I’ve learned throughout the day just on my own, or through other articles or videos that I’ve checked into, most of which will be connected to photography. I will also include in these entries a variety of thoughts based on your questions, comments, etc., and information on my Photography Mentoring Program.

What is more, I hope to not simply have this as an article, but also create a regular podcast that you can listen to on the go. I’m hoping to also invite guests to discuss interesting photography topics on the podcast in the future, as well. I’ll update you more about this in the upcoming days.
